This HYPER version of our EdgeGenesis product contains a generous helping of Ostrich oil to help pamper and support stronger, healthier edges. The Ultra formula contains the same ingredients, except for Ostrich oil (We list both options on this listing in case you are interested in one or both formulas, so make your selection from the drop-down menu for whichever formula you are interested in.). Not recommended for low porosity hair (Why? Please see specs below).

Lets take a closer look at the ingredients:

Jamaican Black Castor oil: Believed to promote and support longer, thicker hair; used to moisturize dry hair and scalp
Emu oil: Contains an abundance of Essential Fatty Acids, penetrates deeply into skin
Ostrich Oil: similar penetrating properties as Emu oil, but even stronger
Comfrey: Used for softer, silkier hair, used to breathe life into limp, lifeless locks
Plantain (not the banana-like plant, but the green herb): purported scalp soother & moisturizer
Peppermint oil:  works well with all hair types, and soothe troubled scalp, has moisturizing properties
Onion oil: rich in sulfur
Garlic oil: rich in sulfur, contains vitamins and minerals that can be beneficial to growth
Fenugreek:  breathes life into damaged hair
Rosemary oil: THE choice herb for longer, stronger hair. Conditions hair and moisturizes scalp, fortifies and softens for more manageable hair
Clove oil: traditionally used to promote more lustrous hair
Lavender oil: traditionally used to help discourage shedding and calm a troubled scalp
Thyme oil:  believed to soothe troubled scalp
Tea Tree oil: helps calm troubled scalp, traditionally used to clear hair follicles
Cedarwood oil: Supports clear and moisturized scalp
Special essential oil blend of Juniper berry, Cypress, Geranium & Cinnamon

This special mix contains Jamaican Black castor oil (which is rich in Omega fatty acids and world famous for its growth benefits), pure olive oil, our special essential oil blend: lavender, tea tree, cedarwood, thyme, rosemary, geranium, cinnamon and juniper essential oils, and garlic, onion (natural sulfur, a building block of hair) and fenugreek infused oil. All of these ingredients are used to encourage, longer, more lustrous hair and some also foster a cleaner, clearer scalp as well.

*****This oil does have somewhat of a strong garlic scent, so if that would bother you, you may be better off purchasing our regular EdgeGenesis instead. Many don’t mind the scent though once they use it for a bit, though)*****

For best results you can pair this with the Inversion method (but only if safe for you to do! Please read all health warnings and consult Physician before attempting) and the GHE or Green House Effect, and stop all use of excessively tight braids and other styles that put stress on edges.

How to use it: Simply massage a bit of the oil into the affected areas once daily for 1-3 minutes. If used on just the edges of hair, one bottle should last 1-2 months.

Specs: Currently available in your choice of 2 FL oz. (59 mL) bottle with easy oil dispensing spout that allows you to get the oil directly to the scalp or a 2 ounce amber glass dropper bottle (U.S. addresses only; we do not ship glass outside of the U.S. because of the greater risk of breakage and the elevated cost of shipping glass which is somewhat heavier than plastic). Not recommended for low porosity hair (Why? Due to the castor oil base (castor is a thick, coating oil) it can eventually lead to dry hair on low porosity hair type).
