DOUBLE HIBISCUS BOTANICAL INFUSION

Why Double Hibiscus?

This formula combines two different Hibiscus botanicals:

Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis
A botanical with a long history of use in traditional Indian and Ayurvedic beauty and hair-care preparations.

Hibiscus Sabdariffa
Also known as Roselle or Sorrel Hibiscus, this botanical is infused alongside Hibiscus rosa-sinensis to create our distinctive Double Hibiscus blend.

Rather than combining Hibiscus with a long list of unrelated herbs, this formula keeps the focus specifically on Hibiscus.

REGULAR OR SUPER CONCENTRATED

Choose the concentration that best fits your preference.

REGULAR

Our standard Double Hibiscus botanical infusion.

SUPER CONCENTRATED

Made with approximately twice the Hibiscus concentration of our Regular formula for customers who prefer a more concentrated botanical infusion.

Both versions are used in the same way. The difference is the concentration of Hibiscus botanicals used to create the infusion.

MADE WITH LOW-POROSITY HAIR IN MIND

This version of our Hibiscus Hair Oil uses Sunflower and Grapeseed Oils instead of a heavier Coconut, Castor or butter-based formula.

It’s an excellent option for customers who enjoy hair oiling but prefer lightweight oils or find that richer products tend to leave their hair feeling overly coated or weighed down.

You don’t have to have low-porosity hair to use this formula. Hair porosity is only one factor in how someone’s hair responds to different products.

SUNFLOWER + GRAPESEED OIL

Sunflower and Grapeseed Oils give Double Hibiscus Hair Oil a smooth, lightweight texture that’s easy to distribute through the hair.

This makes it especially useful for customers looking for a Hibiscus oil without the heavier feel of some traditional hair-oiling formulas.

SOFTNESS + SHINE

Use Double Hibiscus Hair Oil to condition dry-feeling hair and add softness, smoothness and shine.

Apply a small amount to the lengths and ends as desired.

Start with only a few drops and add more if needed, particularly if your hair is fine or easily weighed down.

HAIR + SCALP OILING

Apply a few drops at a time to the desired areas of the scalp and gently massage using the pads of your fingertips.

For the hair, warm a small amount between your palms and lightly distribute through the lengths and ends.

There is no need to saturate the hair or scalp.

PRE-SHAMPOO CARE

Double Hibiscus Hair Oil can also be incorporated into a pre-shampoo hair-oiling routine.

Apply a small amount to the hair and/or scalp before cleansing.

Distribute through the lengths and ends as desired, allow it to remain according to your normal hair-care routine, then shampoo thoroughly and follow with your preferred conditioner.

CURLS, COILS + TEXTURED HAIR

This lightweight botanical oil can be incorporated into natural, curly, coily and textured hair-care routines.

Use it for hair oiling, on dry-feeling lengths and ends, or sparingly as part of braid, twist and protective-style maintenance.

NATURAL COLOR + BOTANICAL SEDIMENT

The Hibiscus used in this infusion is naturally colorful, but the finished oil will not necessarily remain bright red.

Depending on the individual batch and how much botanical material has settled, the oil may range from yellow-orange to pinkish or reddish in appearance.

Fine Hibiscus sediment may naturally settle toward the bottom of the bottle over time.

This is normal for a botanical infusion.

Gently shake before use to redistribute settled botanical material.
