Meet one of our richest botanical hairdressings, a thick, concentrated blend of Castor Jelly, nourishing plant oils, herbs and essential oils designed for use as part of your regular hair and scalp-care routine.
This formula originally began as a handmade botanical oil that I created for my own hair. Before long, friends, family and associates were asking me to make it for them, too. Eventually, that original botanical blend became part of the Asha + Miel collection.
I later began infusing the same extensive blend of botanicals and essential oils into a Castor Jelly base. The result is a rich, concentrated hairdressing with the look and feel of old-school hair grease, but with a naturally derived Castor Jelly base and absolutely no mineral oil.
It is VERY concentrated, so a little goes a long way!
WHAT MAKES THIS HAIR JELLY DIFFERENT?
This formula combines a rich Castor Jelly base with castor oil, olive oil, coconut oil and golden jojoba oil, along with an extensive botanical blend that includes amla, rosemary, burdock root, marshmallow root, stinging nettle, horsetail, sage, black tea, turmeric, thyme, basil and more.
The thick jelly consistency makes it ideal for anyone who enjoys the richness and staying power of a traditional hair grease or hairdressing.
Use it on the scalp, smooth a small amount through the hair, concentrate it on dry-feeling ends, or incorporate it into your regular wash-day and styling routine.
Because this is a very rich and heavy formula, we do not recommend it for low-porosity hair.
This formula is also best suited for darker hair. Some of the deeply colored botanicals may temporarily tint very light hair.

TEXTURE, COLOR & SCENT
Texture: Thick and rich, with a consistency similar to petroleum jelly or traditional hair grease.
Color: Medium to dark brown. Because this product contains an extensive blend of natural botanicals, its color may vary somewhat from batch to batch. Small pieces of herbs or botanical material may occasionally be visible.
Original/Unscented: Naturally has a deep, earthy and herbaceous aroma with hints of pepper and camphor. "Unscented" means that no additional fragrance is added. It does not mean the product has no natural aroma.
Peppermint: Features a refreshing peppermint aroma layered over the naturally herbaceous scent of the botanical blend.
Packaging: Your product may arrive in either a clear or brown plastic jar depending upon current packaging availability.
SUPER CONCENTRATED VS. REGULAR STRENGTH
Both versions contain the same botanical ingredients. The difference is the proportion of botanical oil blend to Castor Jelly.
Super Concentrated: Contains a higher proportion of our botanical oil blend and less Castor Jelly.
Regular Strength: Contains a greater proportion of Castor Jelly for a less concentrated version of the formula.

HOW TO USE
Apply a small amount to your fingertips. This product is extremely concentrated, so start with a small amount and add more only if needed.
Massage a small amount over the scalp using the pads of your fingers. You may also smooth the Hair Jelly through the lengths of the hair or concentrate it on the ends as desired.
It can also be incorporated into your pre-shampoo routine. Apply to the hair as desired and shampoo out during your regular wash routine.
Because oils can become very hot, avoid excessive direct heat when this product is on the hair.
A 4 oz jar may last approximately 1–3 months depending upon how much product you use and how frequently you use it.

MELT WARNING
Salves, hairdressings, butters and other semi-solid products may soften or melt when exposed to temperatures above approximately 72°F.
Depending upon the season and temperatures during shipping, this product may soften or melt in transit. This does not necessarily affect its usability, although the original texture may change.
If your Hair Jelly arrives softened or melted, placing the closed jar in the refrigerator for approximately 15–30 minutes can help it re-solidify.
Unfortunately, we cannot control temperatures inside postal vehicles, mailboxes or other delivery locations. During warm weather, we strongly recommend retrieving your package promptly rather than allowing it to remain outdoors or inside a hot mailbox for an extended period.

Available in 2 oz and 4 oz jars.
Products are filled by weight rather than according to the physical capacity of the jar. Some headspace may therefore be present.
