Our Multigrain Fermented Rice Water, formerly called Four Grain Rice Water, offers an easy, shelf-stable way to incorporate a traditional-inspired rice water rinse into your wash-day routine without having to prepare and ferment rice water at home.

Rather than focusing on a single rice variety, Multigrain Fermented Rice Water combines several varieties in one lightweight, water-based hair rinse.
REGULAR FORMULA
The Regular Formula keeps things simple with our multigrain fermented rice water and preservative system.
Choose this version if you want the rice-water portion of the formula without the additional herbal extract blend.
BOTANICAL BLEND FORMULA
The Botanical Blend Formula adds:

• Melissa Leaf Extract
• Peppermint Leaf Extract
• Horsetail Leaf Extract

This version is a good choice for customers who enjoy botanical ingredients and want a more herb-focused variation of our multigrain rice water.
HOW TO USE
Shake well before use.
After shampooing, spray onto clean, freshly washed hair.
Distribute throughout the hair and apply lightly to the scalp as desired.
Gently massage with the pads of your fingertips.
Cover the hair with a conditioning cap for approximately 10 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly with cool or lukewarm water.
Follow with your preferred conditioner and style as usual.
Recommended use: Approximately once weekly.
You may adjust frequency according to how your hair responds to rice-water products.
SOFTNESS + SHINE
Multigrain Fermented Rice Water can be incorporated into your wash-day routine when you want a lightweight botanical rinse without applying another heavy oil, cream or butter.
After rinsing, follow with your preferred conditioner to complete your normal wash-day routine.
Hair-care experiences vary, so adjust the frequency of use according to your hair’s individual preferences.
CURLS, COILS + TEXTURED HAIR
This lightweight rinse can be incorporated into natural, curly, coily and textured hair-care routines.
Because it is water-based, it provides a very different experience from our HERBOGEN botanical oils, jellies and balms.
It can be particularly useful for customers who want to incorporate a rice-water step into wash day without adding another oil-based product.
IF YOUR HAIR DOESN’T LIKE RICE WATER
Not every hair-care routine responds the same way to rice-water products.
If your hair tends to feel stiff, rough or unusually dry after using rice-water or protein-containing products, use this product less frequently or discontinue use.
More frequent use is not necessarily better.
WHY DOES THIS PRODUCT CONTAIN A PRESERVATIVE?
This is a water-based botanical product.
A properly formulated preservative system helps protect water-containing personal-care products from microbial contamination during their intended shelf life.
Unlike homemade rice water that is prepared for immediate use, HERBOGEN Multigrain Fermented Rice Water is formulated as a packaged cosmetic product.
Do not dilute the original product or introduce additional water or other materials directly into the bottle.
