Our Chebe Herbal Hair Powder begins with authentic Chebe imported from Chad and combines it with additional botanicals commonly found in traditional and modern herbal hair-care preparations.

This dry botanical blend is designed to be mixed with your favorite hair cream, butter or oil, making it easy to customize according to your own hair-care preferences.

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT FROM PLAIN CHEBE?

Traditional Chebe is the foundation of this formula, but we’ve expanded the blend with four additional botanicals:

Amla (Indian Gooseberry)
Amla has a long history of use in Ayurvedic and traditional Indian beauty and hair-care preparations.

Ginger Root
A recognizable botanical with a naturally warm, aromatic character that complements the traditional Chebe blend.

Horsetail

ABOUT CHEBE

Chebe is associated with traditional hair-care practices among women in Chad, particularly in the country’s Sahel region.

Traditional Chebe preparations are commonly incorporated into rich hair mixtures and applied primarily to the lengths of the hair as part of braiding and hair-care routines.

Our Chebe is imported from Chad and blended with Amla, Ginger, Horsetail and Stinging Nettle to create our own botanical variation on this traditional hair-care ingredient.

HOW TO USE

Chebe powder is intended to be mixed with other hair-care products rather than applied as a loose dry powder.

For a traditional-inspired application:

1. Combine approximately 3.5 oz / 100 g of your preferred hair cream or butter with approximately 3.5 oz / 100 g of your preferred hair oil.
2. Add approximately 1 teaspoon of Chebe Herbal Powder and mix thoroughly.
3. Lightly dampen the hair with water.
4. Apply the cream, oil and Chebe mixture primarily through the lengths of the hair.
5. Braid or twist the hair as desired.
6. Adjust the amount and frequency according to your individual hair-care routine and preferences.

You may also experiment with smaller batches rather than mixing the entire amount at once.

IMPORTANT APPLICATION NOTE

Traditional Chebe preparations are generally used on the hair rather than directly on the scalp.

Avoid getting loose powder in the eyes, nose or mouth, and use care during mixing and application.

Because this is a dark botanical powder, protect clothing, towels, bedding and other porous surfaces during use.

Lavender Croton (Chebe) Powder, Prunus Mahaleb, Benzoin Resin, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Flower, Acacia Gum (Gum Arabic), Vegetable Oil, Musk Ambrette, Emblica Officinalis (Amla) Fruit Powder, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Powder, Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail), Urtica Dioica (Stinging Nettle) Leaf Powder.
