TWO TYPES OF HIBISCUS
This formula features two different Hibiscus botanicals:
Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis
Often associated with traditional Indian and Ayurvedic beauty and hair-care preparations.
Hibiscus Sabdariffa
Also known as Roselle or Sorrel Hibiscus, this deeply colored botanical is incorporated alongside Hibiscus rosa-sinensis to create our concentrated dual-Hibiscus infusion.
Rather than combining Hibiscus with a long list of unrelated herbs, this formula keeps the focus specifically on Hibiscus.
WHAT DOES 4X CONCENTRATED MEAN?
4X refers to the concentration of Hibiscus botanicals used to create this particular infusion.
This is our highly concentrated Hibiscus formula, made with substantially more Hibiscus botanical material than our standard Hibiscus infusion.
The 4X designation describes the concentration of Hibiscus used in the formulation. It does not represent or promise a particular hair-growth rate or result.
CREATED WITH LOW-POROSITY HAIR IN MIND
This version uses Sunflower and Grapeseed Oils to create a lighter botanical base.
It’s a great option for customers who enjoy botanical hair oiling but find that richer Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, butter or wax-based formulas tend to leave their hair feeling overly coated or weighed down.
You don’t have to have low-porosity hair to use this formula. Hair porosity is only one factor in how an individual’s hair responds to different products and oils.
SUNFLOWER + GRAPESEED OIL
Sunflower and Grapeseed Oils give this concentrated botanical infusion a smooth, relatively lightweight texture.
The result is a Hibiscus-focused hair oil that is easy to distribute through the hair without the heavier feel of some traditional hair-oiling formulas.
SOFTNESS + SHINE
Use 4X Hibiscus Hair Oil as part of your regular hair-care routine to condition dry-feeling hair and add softness and shine.
Apply a few drops to the lengths and ends as desired.
Start with a small amount and add more only as needed.
HAIR + SCALP OILING
Apply a few drops at a time to the desired areas of the scalp.
Gently massage using the pads of your fingertips.
For the hair, warm a small amount between your palms and lightly distribute through the lengths and ends.
There is no need to saturate the hair or scalp.
PRE-SHAMPOO CARE
This formula can also be incorporated into a pre-shampoo hair-oiling routine.
Apply a small amount to the hair and/or scalp before cleansing.
Distribute through the lengths and ends as desired, allow it to remain according to your normal hair-care routine, then shampoo thoroughly and follow with your preferred conditioner.
CURLS, COILS + TEXTURED HAIR
4X Hibiscus Low Porosity Hair Oil can be incorporated into natural, curly, coily and textured hair-care routines.
Use it for hair oiling, on dry-feeling lengths and ends, or sparingly as part of braid, twist and protective-style maintenance.
COLOR + NATURAL VARIATION
Hibiscus botanicals themselves can be vividly colored, but the color of a finished infused oil will vary depending on the botanical material, concentration, carrier oils and individual batch.
This highly concentrated formula may range from orange-red to deep red or burgundy.
Natural variations in color are normal.
Fine botanical sediment may also settle toward the bottom of the bottle over time. Gently shake before use if needed.
