AMLA + BHRINGRAJ + BRAHMI
These recognizable botanicals have long histories of use in Ayurvedic and traditional Indian hair-care preparations.
Rather than assigning each herb a promised result, we incorporate them as part of a broad botanical infusion inspired by traditional herbal hair-oiling practices.
FENUGREEK + HIBISCUS
Fenugreek and Hibiscus are two more familiar ingredients frequently found in traditional and modern botanical hair-care preparations.
They complement the extensive Ayurvedic herb blend and contribute to the distinctive character of the formula.
A RICH FOUR-OIL BASE
The botanical infusion is prepared in a blend of:
Fractionated Coconut Oil
Olive Oil
Castor Oil
Sesame Seed Oil
This creates a substantial botanical hair oil rather than an ultra-lightweight serum.
If your hair is easily weighed down by rich oils, begin with a very small amount.
If you specifically prefer lightweight products for low-porosity or fine hair, one of our lighter botanical oils may be a better match for your routine.
HOW TO USE
Apply a few drops to the desired areas of the scalp and gently massage with the pads of your fingertips.
For the hair, warm a small amount between your palms and lightly distribute through the lengths and ends.
Begin with a small amount and add more only as needed.
The oil may be left in according to your usual hair-care routine or shampooed out during your next wash.
PRE-SHAMPOO HAIR OILING
Apply the oil sparingly to the scalp and/or lengths before shampooing.
Allow it to remain on the hair according to your normal pre-shampoo routine, then cleanse thoroughly and follow with your preferred conditioner.
BRAIDS, TWISTS & PROTECTIVE STYLES
Apply a small amount to the desired areas of the scalp between braids, twists and other protective styles.
The oil can also be smoothed sparingly over the hair as needed.
VISIBLE BOTANICALS
Because Ayurvedic Mega Mix is an extensively infused herbal oil, natural botanical sediment or small pieces of plant material may occasionally be visible.
Natural variations in color, scent and appearance are normal characteristics of botanical preparations.
