A rich, naturally blue botanical hair and scalp oil featuring Biotin, Blue Spirulina and Butterfly Pea Flower in a conditioning blend of Castor, Coconut, Tahitian Monoi, Argan and Jojoba Oils.
Blue Sapphire is one of our richer botanical hair oils, with a thick, slow-flowing texture characteristic of its Castor and Coconut Oil base.
Use it for hair and scalp oiling, pre-shampoo care, protective-style maintenance, or whenever your hair needs a little extra conditioning, softness and shine.
WHY BLUE SAPPHIRE?
Blue Sapphire gets its distinctive botanical identity from ingredients including Blue Spirulina and Butterfly Pea Flower.
The finished oil has a beautiful medium-blue appearance that sets it apart from our traditional golden, green and amber botanical hair oils.
Because botanical ingredients naturally vary, the exact shade and amount of visible botanical material may differ slightly from batch to batch.
BIOTIN + BOTANICAL OILS
Blue Sapphire combines Biotin with a rich blend of plant oils and botanical ingredients.
Castor Oil gives the formula its substantial, slow-flowing texture.
Coconut Oil contributes additional richness and conditioning.
Tahitian Monoi combines Coconut Oil with fragrant Tiaré flower for a distinctive tropical botanical ingredient.
Argan Oil and Jojoba Oil round out the formula and help condition the hair while adding softness and shine.
AROMATIC BOTANICAL BLEND
Blue Sapphire also contains an aromatic botanical oil blend featuring Lavender, Palmarosa, Rosemary, Sweet Birch, Clary Sage, Sandalwood, Frankincense, Neroli, Ylang Ylang, Geranium and Yarrow.
The finished product has a naturally botanical aroma characteristic of Castor Oil, Monoi and the aromatic oils used in the formula.
RICH, THICK HAIR OIL
This is not one of our lightweight hair oils.
Blue Sapphire has a thick, rich consistency and is especially well suited to customers who enjoy substantial hair oils and traditional hair-oiling products.
If your hair is fine, low porosity or easily weighed down by heavier oils, this may not be the best HERBOGEN formula for your routine. Consider one of our lighter Sunflower, Grapeseed or Jojoba-based formulas instead.
HOW TO USE
Apply a small amount to the desired areas of the scalp using the precision applicator or your fingertips.
Gently massage with the pads of your fingers for approximately 1–3 minutes.
For the hair, warm a small amount between your palms and lightly distribute through the lengths and ends.
A little goes a long way. Start with only a few drops and add more as needed.
Blue Sapphire may be used several times per week or according to your personal hair-care routine.
PRE-SHAMPOO HAIR OILING
Blue Sapphire can also be used before shampooing.
Apply a small amount to the hair, concentrating on dry-feeling lengths and ends as desired.
Allow the oil to remain according to your normal pre-shampoo routine, then shampoo thoroughly and follow with your preferred conditioner.
Because this is a rich Castor and Coconut-based formula, avoid oversaturating the hair.
CURLS, COILS + PROTECTIVE STYLES
Blue Sapphire can be incorporated into curly, coily and textured hair-care routines.
Use a small amount on the lengths and ends or as part of your braid, twist and protective-style maintenance routine.
The rich texture also makes it a good choice for customers who prefer substantial oils for sealing and hairdressing.
NATURAL BOTANICAL APPEARANCE
Blue Sapphire is generally medium blue and may contain small pieces of herbs or botanical sediment.
This is normal for this product.
Natural variations in color, scent and visible botanical material may occur from batch to batch.
If the oil becomes particularly thick in a cool environment, gently warm the closed bottle between your hands or wrap it briefly in a warm cloth. Do not microwave the product or place the bottle in boiling water.
